Although the quality of movies is vastly degrading these days, there are still some great family-oriented movies. These are films which can be watched and enjoyed by everyone regardless of age and gender. Watching movies is an exercise that can be best enjoyed with family and even friends where everybody can have fun together and build everlasting memories. 

The following is a list of the top 5 family movies you can share with your family members as well as your loved ones to double the laughter and fun.

· Angel Dog.

This movie was produced in 2011 and runs for one hour 30 minutes, starring John Michael Davis, Farah White, and Richard Dillard. Angel Dog is a heartwarming story about a dog named Cooper who is the sole survivor of a terrible accident, Jake who lost his wife and children in the accident is NOT a dog person, and he resents Cooper for surviving an accident that took his family. Eventually Jake bonds with Cooper and it's through this bond he finds the willpower to get up at a morning and to move forwards from his tragic loss.

· Back to the Future.

What would you do if you could travel in time to save a person you cared for? In this movie, teenager Marty travels through time in hopes to stop the assassination of Doc, the inventor of a time traveling car. Traveling too far back into the days when his parents were teenagers, he unexpectedly comes between the chance that led to his parents meet and fall in love when his mother develops a crush on him instead. He tries to make up for it while seeking the younger Doc to help him travel back to the time he should be in. With his presence in the past, he unintentionally creates meddle that alters some of the future. Taking aspects of family love, loyalty, and sacrifice as well as the importance of conserving the essence of time, Back to the Future is one of the older, good movies that any family will enjoy watching together. This movie was unveiled in 1985.

· You're So Cupid.

This is a family comedy movie and is among the most prominent tween movies and a wonder romantic comedy films. Lily and Emma who are fraternal twin sisters have a ravenous desire to play matchmaker despite the fact that they have never fallen in love themselves. Soon they realize that their matchmaking abilities run in the family-- their father is really Cupid.

Soon when they both fall in love with the same gentleman, all bets are off until they discover that the marriage of their parents is falling apart. Reserving their distinctions, these two have to pull closer together just to bring their parents back together. If you love adolescent love movies (tween movies), you will enjoy this one-of-a-kind and delightful teen romantic comedy films. The entire family will indulge in.

· Shrek.

This unconventional, happily-ever-after movie produced in 2001 and is about a beastly ogre named Shrek that goes on a rescue mission of saving the peace of his swamp when Lord Farquaad releases an order that all fairy tale creatures should be forced to stay there. To claim that peace, he agrees to save Princess Fiona from a castle with a dangerous dragon. Throughout the journey, he meets the frank and talkative Donkey, who becomes his ally, as well as Princess Fiona, who shows him the meaning of real beauty. This movie is the epitome of the idiom 'beauty lies in the eye of the beholder' while conveying an awareness that love does not always have to come with good looks, as most fairy tales turn out.

· A Christmas Story.

This is a movie produced in 1983. All Ralphie wants is a Christmas' Red Ryder BB gun. This 1940s family is amusing. You will love Ralphie’s father who is very irritable, his whiny brother, and his all-American mother. 

Family movies are created to appeal to a range of age groups and, hence, households.
